Montpellier SupAgro launches its first business chair "Engineering for Sustainable AgroecoSYStems " in collaboration with five business partners. Its inaugural conference was last 23rd June, an occasion to introduce you to its concept & objectives.

This conference was open to businesses, agricultural organizations, technical institutes, government departments and local authorities, rural areas ... as well as teachers, researchers and students.

 

About AgroSYS Business Chair

Montpellier SupAgro launches its first Business Chair "Engineering for Sustainable AgroecoSYStems" in collaboration with five partners: AdVini, BASF Agro, Bayer,

  Négoce Expansion and Socièté Canal de Provence and d'Aménagement de la région provençale .

This business chair aims to support the design of innovative and sustainable agricultural systems based on continuing training of students and engineers within the companies. By combining R&D actors from public and private sectors, it will contribute to develop knowledge and methods for various sectors and agricultural territories.

Led by a team of teachers - researchers and a dedicated full-time engineers, this chair is designed to enhance the professional skills of students in agro- ecological engineering through projects, internships and apprenticeship within companies.

The Chair will propose continuing training co-built with partners. It will provide scientific oversight , organize conferences and seminars and promote the emergence of collaborative research projects with all scientific partners from Montpellier agricultural  research cluster as well as national and worldwide research organisations.

Launched for an initial period of three years , the Chair AgroSYS currently has a grant of 450,000 euros .
