There are several scholarships intended for international students interested in studying in France. Their availability depends on the student’s country of origin and chosen training program, and their application procedures, selection criteria and awards processes vary. We advise you to visit this page regularly and to read the information carefully.

Scholarships available for Master's and Engineering Degree programmes

Training programmes accredited Erasmus Mundus and Erasmus+

Scholarship Scheme

- €1,000/month during 24 months (Cat. A*)
- €500/month during 24 months (Cat. B**)
+ additional financial help covering travel and settling in expenses.

Eligibility  - Bsc (180 ECTS) or equivalent in Agricultural Sciences
- Received 1st class or 2nd class with honours
Procedures 

- Online application for the following training programmes: Master Agris-Mundus or Vinifera Euromaster
- attach a cover letter and 2 recommendation letters

ALFABET Scholarship

EIFFEL Excellence Scholarship Programme

Scholarship Scheme

€1,181/month during 12 months (M2 entry), 24 months (M1 entry), or 36 months (French Engineering degree)

Additional financial help covering travel, settling in, health insurance, cultural activities

 

Eligibility 

- 30 years old max
- Only foreign candidates are eligible (candidates with dual nationality including French nationality are ineligible) 

Procedures 

Candidates are selected and applications are submitted by the institution where the student will be enrolled the following year. Students must contact their chosen training programme at Montpellier SupAgro to request consideration for EIFFEL funding.

Calendar for academic year 2016/2017:

  • Call for applications opens: mid October 2016
  • Deadline for receipt of applications by SRIL at SupAgro (cecile.durand@supagro.fr): 3 December 2016
  • Deadline to submit applications to Campus France: 6 January 2017

Jean Monnet Scholarship

Scholarship Scheme

The scholarship covers: tuition, travel to France, local transport, living expenses (rent, food), visa fees

Eligibility  - Candidates must be under 40 years old on the day applications open
- Master, PhD, Post-Doc levels
- Turkish nationality

Scholarship Scheme

The scholarship covers a return ticket + €375 for transport compensation + tuition and health insurance

SupAgro Fondation: International Scholarship of Excellence

Scholarship Scheme

Two types of scholarships are available
- Scholarship covering tuition fees
- Full scholarship of either €7,500 (for one year of a Master’s degree programme) or €5,000 (for one year of a French Engineering degree programme)

Eligibility  For international students applying for an SAADS Engineer Diploma or an International Master degree (3A)
Procedures 

Submit a cover letter for the SupAgro Fondation Scholarship with your application form to Montpellier SupAgro.

Students will be selected by the scholarship committee of Montpellier SupAgro.

Submit your application when applying to your chosen training course at Montpellier SupAgro.

$25,000 max, depending on the research budget of each candidate

Duration: 5 to 10 months 

Eligibility

Scholarship available for Researchers

AgreenSkills Program

Scholarship Scheme

Mobility allowance of €1,365/month. This financial support is provided by AgreenSkills and includes French health care and pension contributions, insurance and other social benefits.

Duration: 6 to 24 months

Eligibility 

- PhD holder (or PhD will have been awarded by mobility start date)
- Have not spent more than 12 months in France within the last 3 years
- Have a maximum of 10 years research experience
- Be able to write and speak fluent English or French

- There are two selection rounds per year. The deadlines are 28 April 2017 for the first round and 13 October 2017 for the second.
