Training aims :

This course prepares you, through research and high quality teaching, for a wide range of jobs in research and the study of economics and management applied in agricultural, agro-food, environment, natural resources and rural development.

This research Master’s is designed for students who seek roles where a high level of autonomy, initiative and an in-depth understanding of the social sciences are required.
It will provide you with theoretical knowledge, fundamental methodologies, the use of advanced modelling and quantification techniques from contemporary economics, institutional economics, management science, economic sociology. In parallel you will acquire the practical skills in a wide range of areas from the economic world thanks to the range of specialisations available.



Admission requirement :
You can apply for this course if you are :
- A student from AgroM who has specialised in agro- economics and agro-food (admitted in M2 the second year of the Master)
- An agronomist who has specialised in agro-economics and agro-food
- The holder of a Master’s degree in economics and administration
N.B. there is an obligatory pre-course in economic theory for those students who don’t have a Master’s in Economics

On completion of this Master’s you will be able to find work in :
- Higher education teaching and research in public and private institutions.
- Careers in France and Internationally in development administration organisations or organisations dealing with agro-food policy
- Big companies in the agro-food or agricultural sector
- NGOs and charities
- Private and public sector organisations involved in rural and environmental activities (agri-supply, banks and finance companies, green tourism etc)

A high number of graduates find jobs quickly on completion of this course. About one third of graduates go on to complete a PhD successfully.
