Vocational degree: integrated farming

- Theme : Agronomy
- Entry level : 2 years\'higher education
- Exit level : 3 years\'higher education
- Language : French
- Student Status : Formation initiale ou Formation continue ou Etudiant étranger
- Course starts : September
- Course duration : Année entière

Training aims :

The principle behind integrated farming is to minimise the negative impact of farming activities on the environment while remaining realistic about economic constraints.
The concept of integrated farming is part of a dual dynamic of renewing agronomic practices (notably crop protection and fertilisation) and adapting to a market that is becoming increasingly demanding in regard to product quality and, recently, guarantees of environmentally-friendly practices.

This course will be a decisive factor in the success of integrated farming. The students will have to master agronomic techniques and know how to explain the basis for them and their links with all other parameters: environmental impacts, regulations and the legal framework, product quality and traceability, commercialisation and specifications, etc.

This vocational degree meets these skills needs and adopts a multidisciplinary approach to farming in its environment.

Admission requirement :
As initial education:
Students must hold an L2 degree (DUT, DEUG), a BTSA degree or a BTS degree in biology, agronomy, environment or geography.

As continuing education:
People employed in the production, consulting or marketing sectors may be admitted in the framework of their companies’ training plans or on personal training leave.
Validation of professional experience and the organisation of the classes in credit units make it possible to offer individual training plans adapted to each individual’s situation. The coursework can be spread out over a three-year period.

Continuous training
Employees from the production sector, from consulting, and from marketing can apply either as part of their company’s training or as personal training leave. The validation of experience and the organisation of the course into accredited units means that individual training plans can be offered, adjusted to each person’s situation. Training can be spread over 3 years.
