Provide preliminary information enabling the researcher to understand the functioning of farms and to raise hypothesis explaining and describing farms' diversity.
Explain and understand the origin and the potential evolution of production systems
Identify mechanisms of evolution and differentiation of farming systems: description of interactions between system on different agro-ecosystem, flows and competition between them. And then include also critical points such as work peaks, climatic disaster, lack of cash, risk management ...etc.
Characterize farms' diversity “Production system Modeling”
Specific integration of different cropping systems and different animal husbandry systems.
Specific combination of production means aimed at producing crops and/or animals in order to fit objectives and needs of the farmer.
And compare the economic result of different production systems
Comparison of farm income/full-time labor
